Welcome to Alpine Recreation. We are a small, friendly family-run company based in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand, specializing in guided outdoor adventures throughout New Zealand's Southern Alps. This includes alpine trekking and hiking, climbing courses and guided ascents, ski touring and snowshoeing trips. Our professional and enthusiastic team will create a custom itinerary to suit you - plan your next trip with us!

Alpine Recreation offers ski touring and splitboarding trips and backcountry instruction courses in New Zealand's most spectacular winter wilderness locations. With two private, heated huts and a choice of many other venues, Alpine Recreation provides a wide range of touring options to cater for various ski and boarding abilities, fitness levels and personal objectives.
Accommodation
Alpine Recreation owns a private lodge in Lake Tekapo and two private mountain huts.
We also base trips at many popular huts on both private high country stations and public conservation land.
